چکیده
Surface and ground waters can be considered the main sources of water supply for agricultural, municipal, industrial consumers. Over centuries, combination both naturally occurring conditions humanity’s actions has placed increasing pressure on these resources. As an example, climate change natural variability in distribution occurrence are among driving forces that complicate sustainable development Recent advances computer techniques have allowed scientists to develop complex models at different scales support water-resource planning management. The Special Issue “Advances Flow Modeling Water Resources Hydrological Engineering” presents a collection scientific contributions providing sample state-of-the-art research this field.

determination for risks in hydrological and water resources projects.
statistical analysis is used in hydrology where variables and processes are observed and stated in terms of numbers. the majority of hydrologic phenomena in nature, such as precipitation, runoff, evaporation, sediment transport, water quality properties, elc., are stochastic processes. however, in considering events on an annual basis, the occurence of the events may be assumed independant and ...
متن کاملHydrological data for surface water resources assessment
The need for hydrological data is discussed in terms of the type of water resources project, and the sampling of information in time and space. The need for consistent data quality is emphasized. Données hydrologiques nécessaires à l'évaluation des ressources en eau de surface Résumé Les besoins en données hydrologiques sont discutés en fonction des divers types de projets de mise en valeur des...
متن کاملGlobal hydrological cycles and world water resources.
Water is a naturally circulating resource that is constantly recharged. Therefore, even though the stocks of water in natural and artificial reservoirs are helpful to increase the available water resources for human society, the flow of water should be the main focus in water resources assessments. The climate system puts an upper limit on the circulation rate of available renewable freshwater ...
متن کاملIntegrated Hydrological/Ecological/Economic Modeling for Examining the Vulnerability of Water Resources to Climate Change
A methodology for assessing regional-scale hydrologic vulnerability to climate variability which incorporates ecologic and economic factors is presented. A simple economic model of damages due to hydrologic drought and the decision to invest in “augmented” yield to mitigate these damages is coupled to a statistical-dynamical, soil-vegetationclimate model of the annual water balance (Eagleson, 1...
متن کاملsimulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water
abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...
